Mārama measures the experience of patients receiving mental health care and of their whānau.
Mārama was developed by Reach Aotearoa / CBG in a large two-year research project funded by the Health and Disability Commissioner, with an advisory board representing DHBs, Maori providers, ACC and the HQSC. For over 7 years Mārama has collected rich data useful for monitoring and improving mental health and addiction services.
Mārama is used by DHBs and NGOs and provides time series and benchmarking capabilities. Mārama data is used by Te Whatu Ora and the Mental health and Wellbeing Commssion. Mārama includes powerful business intelligence tools that lets providers develop and distribute analyses of their data, with national comparisons.
